perfect crafted and personalized jewelry
Jewelry is one of the most important accessories that can really enhance your outfit and distinguish your style from others. I think the right piece of jewelry reflects your own personal style, taste and character. I tend to lean towards simplistic, classic styles of jewelry, which is why you’ll never see me without my Tiffany&Co silver band. However, I definitely like to mix it up depending on my mood and the occasion. I’ll throw on chunky rings to go shopping with friends or statement sparkly earrings for an intimate dinner with the bf. Although I don’t have quite the jewelry army that other bloggers have, I’m definitely trying to carefully and selectively increase my little jewelry collection.
I was pretty excited when I was contacted by Sheyna Jewelry, a design-it-yourself jewelry site with a unique drag-and-drop digital sketchpad. The Oprah-recommended company gives you the option to shop their wide selection of beautifully handcrafted necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings or create your own jewelry designs! I actually played around with the Creator Tool and it was really easy to use. You just drag and drop the different elements you want (beads, stones, charms, etc) and see your creation come to life with the price conveniently updating as you work. There’s a lot of room for creativity and affordability because you dictate how expensive the materials you want included are.
I created these gorgeous dangly earrings with a silver leaf centerpiece accented with silver and rose quartz beads and fabulous aqua chalcedony. My extravagant virtual creation was a whopping $75 because the aqua chalcedony and leaf pieces were around $8 each, but there are definitely more affordable jewelry ranging from $15-25 available as well. I like that Sheyna gives you the room to shop within a budget or the freedom to indulge yourself (yumm, give me those aqua chalcedony earrings!), all with the same high quality materials and attention to detail.
After you’ve finalized your own design or chosen one of their popular designs, Sheyna jewelry is hand-crafted by skilled artisans in local communities around the world and delivered in about 28 days. All their jewelry comes with a handwritten note from the artisan who crafted it and is delivered in a beautiful silk pouch - perfect for storing or gifting.
I was gifted a flower wrap bracelet and pearl earrings to review and let you all know what I think about Sheyna! I was pleasantly surprised when I received the little envelope in the mail. I have never seen such attention-to-detail in packaging before in my previous online shopping experiences. I loved unwrapping the delicate little pouch and pulling out the pieces with earnest anticipation. The bracelet was very simple with a pink thread and silver daisy flower charm. Although it was a bit plain for my taste, you could tell it was made with a lot of care and could be very cute in layers for a boho look. The pièce de résistance was definitely the pearl earrings. They were delicate little danglies with small beads flanking the pearl. I like their classic, feminine look and have already gotten compliments on them. I even wore them out on Thanksgiving (see below).
I just want to say a big thank you to David and Lauren from Sheyna! It’s been such a pleasure working with them and getting to experience their high quality products for myself.
