new in: the birthday bag!
Sorry I’ve been slow going on posting! It’s been a busy April with the onslaught of my birthday celebrations (this isn’t me complaining, I swear haha) and Coachella, in addition to my normal backlog of posts… I’ve got a lot to catch up on. Onto the goods — I’d like to formally introduce to Floating On Dreams my new handbag, a Kate Spade Gold Coast Charlize shoulder bag. It was my birthday gift from the bf and sort of confirms that he knows me inside and out :] Yay, another trophy for my Kate Spade collection!
Until I can have a Chanel bag of my own, this quilted beauty will do just fine. It was love at first sight when I tore open that huge Kate Spade box. Lol, you just know it’s going to be good if it’s Kate Spade. I’ve been a loyal Kate Spade fan for years, and as I get older, I think the brand’s style and mine grow more and more in tune. The Gold Coast collection is particularly chic with the pebbled leather and quilting. I have the zippered Chrissy, which I like wearing as a clutch and I’m thrilled to have the same features in a larger version. It’s no longer available on the Kate Spade site, but you can still get it at Nordstroms and Endless.
The Charlize is so classy and timeless. It looks black at first glance, but is actually a really rich cappuccino color called “Bittersweet” and a little softer than black. I don’t know which feature I love the most! From the 14k light gold plated hardware, metallic dot jacquard interior, the pebbled cowhide leather and quilting, the chain detailing on the strap — it might just be the square turnlock closure. It’s actually really fun to play with and practical x) Lol I’m gushing, but I really do love everything about this bag. It fits all of my crap without looking the least bit bulky and you can just feel the quality and attention to detail and love that went into this handbag.
BF, you did good. VERY FREAKING AMAZINGLY GOOD! :D
